Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what Reverse Song collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers
the Android app (package com.apperssystems.reverse.audio) and this website, reversesong.apperssystems.com.
Reverse Song is published by Appers Systems (Pakistan), which is responsible for your data in the app. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no personal profile.
1. Your recordings
Recordings stay on your phone. Reverse Song uses the microphone only while you record. Your recordings are saved inside the app on your phone and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. They are excluded from cloud backups and device transfers. They leave your phone only when you choose to share or save a file yourself, and uninstalling the app deletes them.
Your clip names, the songs you pick, your scores, streak and settings are stored on your phone in the same way. Audio files you import with "Import" are read on your phone only.
2. What is collected, and by whom
The app includes software development kits (SDKs) from Google. These collect some data automatically:
| Service | What it collects | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) | Advertising ID, approximate location (from your IP address), device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostics | Showing ads, measuring them, and preventing fraud. Free users only; Premium users see no ads. |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Your ad-consent choices | Asking for and remembering consent where the law requires it |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | App interactions (for example "a challenge was scored", with the line's difficulty, whether it was the daily challenge, and the score rounded to a band of 10), purchase events that Google Play reports automatically (product, price and currency), an app-instance ID, approximate location from your IP address, and device information | Understanding which features are used so we can improve the app. It does not read the advertising ID and is not used for ads. |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash logs and diagnostics, an installation ID, and device information | Finding and fixing crashes |
| Google Play Billing | Purchase and subscription details, handled by Google Play | Selling and restoring Premium. We never see your payment details. |
None of this includes your recordings, lyrics or clip names. All of it is encrypted in transit. Google's own use of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
We do not collect:
- your name, email address or phone number (there is no account);
- your precise location;
- your recordings, contacts, photos, files, messages or browsing history;
- your payment details (Google Play handles every transaction).
3. Your choices
- Usage and crash reports: turn off "Share usage and crash reports" in the app's Settings to stop Analytics and Crashlytics collection. Turning it off also deletes crash reports that haven't been sent yet.
- Ads: where the law requires it (for example in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland), the app asks for consent before personalised ads are shown. Change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad preferences. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings, or go Premium to remove ads.
- Microphone: you can deny or revoke microphone access in your phone's settings. The app then can't record, but can still play audio files you import.
4. How long data is kept
- Recordings and app data: on your phone until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- Analytics events: 2 months at the user and event level (aggregated reports are kept).
- Crash reports: 90 days.
- Advertising data: as described in Google's policies.
5. Delete your data
To delete your recordings, delete them in the app's Library or uninstall the app. Usage and crash data isn't linked to your name, because there is no account, so we can't look up one person's data. To stop it, turn off "Share usage and crash reports" or uninstall the app; what was already sent is deleted automatically after the periods above. Our Delete your data page has step-by-step instructions.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK or EU GDPR, or California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@apperssystems.com to use these rights; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Children
Reverse Song is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help remove what we can.
8. This website
This section covers reversesong.apperssystems.com, the website you are reading, rather than the app.
This site uses no analytics and no cookies. Your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
There are no accounts, contact forms or newsletters on this site. If you email us, we keep that email only as long as we need to answer you.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
